The new year is almost here, and this listing of events on Dec. 31 will help you find the perfect way to celebrate its arrival:

New Year’s Eve

The Stagecoach Inn, 416 S. Main St. in Salado, is offering a recently-launched brunch menu from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and an a la carte dinner menu from 3 to 9 p.m. Make reservations by calling 254-947-5111.

Alexander’s Distillery, 602 Center Circle in Salado, is hosting a New Year’s Eve dinner with two seating times at 5 and 7:30 p.m. The four-course meal, with options, includes a sparkling wine toast. Meals are $55.95 a person. Call 254-947-3828 to make reservations.

The American Legion Post 573, 225 Cox Drive in Harker Heights, is having a New Year’s Eve Celebration from 6 p.m. to midnight. Live entertainment, drinks, food, pool, darts and other games will be available. The event is free and open to the public.

Stillhouse Wine Room, 403 E. Stan Schlueter Loop in Killeen, is hosting a New Year’s Eve Party from 7 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. A dinner buffet will be available until 11 p.m. Jazz vocalist and trumpeter Bryan Thym, along with saxophonist Rashad Maybell, will join to provide live music from 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. There will be a champagne toast at midnight. Tickets are $30 in advance and $40 the day of the show. Tickets may be purchased at the Stillhouse Wine Room and online.

In the Mood Ballroom is hosting a New Year’s Eve Dance with a variety of music styles from 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Attire is dressy casual to formal. Tickets are $20 per person and includes hors d’oeuvres, hats, horns, balloon drop, and a champagne toast at midnight. Call 254-773-7088 for reservations. In the Mood is at 13 S. Main St. in Temple.

Blends Wine Bar is hosting a Cocktail Glam New Year’s Eve Party from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. Live music by Minor Changes, complimentary champagne, and hors d’oeuvres will be available. Admission is $55 before the event and $65 at the door. The wine bar is at 208 N. Penelope St. in Belton. Call 254-613-4739 for more information.

Dead Fish Grill is hosting a New Year’s Eve Celebration from 9 p.m. to midnight with an oyster bar/shrimp boil, live music by DJ Red, and a champagne toast at midnight. Drinks from the bar are available for purchase until midnight. No cover charge or reservations required. The restaurant is at 2207 Lake Road in Belton.

A Midnight Masquerade New Year’s Party is being held at the Temple Railroad and Heritage Museum from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Live music and a DJ will be playing in the grand lobby of the Depot. Limited masks, cash bar, prizes and a balloon drop will be provided. Tickets are $40 per person and $75 for couples and benefit the museum’s programs. 21 and up only. Discounted hotel rates for ticket holders are available at the Hampton Inn, 3816 S. General Bruce Drive in Temple, as well as a shuttle to and from the museum. Club Hood is hosting a Gran Baile de Despedida de Año from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Puerto Rican performers Ashley “La Chica Bomba” and Izis “La Enfermera de la Salsa” will be performing. All ages are welcome and seating is first come first serve. Tables of 10 can be reserved for $300. Adult individual tickets are $25 per person and children ages 2 to 17 are $10 each. Attendees are asked to dress to impress. Non-military members can attend, but must obtain a pass through the Fort Hood Visitor’s Center.
