Splash into summer fun and go swimming.
Memorial Day weekend officially started the summer schedule at many area pools.
Here’s a quick look at what Central Texas cities have to offer:
Family Aquatics Center at Lions Club Park, 1800 E. Stan Schlueter Loop.
The center is open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday and from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday.
Daily admission is free for children age 3 and younger, $4 for ages 4 to 18 and ages 55 and older, $6 for adults, with a $1 surcharge for nonresidents.
Pershing Park Pool, 1125 Bonnie Drive, and Long Branch Pool, 1101 Branch Drive.
Both pools are open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
Daily admission is free for children age 3 and younger, $2 for ages 4 to 12 and ages 55 and older, $3 for adults.

Carl Levin City Park pool, 400 Miller’s Crossing.
The pool is open from 1:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday.
Daily admission fees are $2 for ages 2 to 17 and ages 55 and older, $3 for adults, with surcharges for nonresidents.

City Park Pool, Turkey Creek Pool and South Park Pool offer swimming lessons and community swim hours.

Enjoy an alternative to the lake and bring the whole family to the Harris Community Park on Alexander Street or the South Wall Tiger Park, at South Wall Street and Avenue S. Both locations are open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily. For more information, call (254) 933-5860 or go to www.ci.belton.tx.us.
Belton Lake Outdoor Recreation Waterfront activities are available from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily through Labor Day. Enjoy paddleboats, Phantom Phlume waterslides and Sierra Beach swimming while lifeguards are on duty. BLORA is on North Nolan Road 10 miles from East Range Road.
