Striving to bring more accessible and complete post-secondary education options to students in Killeen, Bell County, Coryell County, Fort Hood and beyond. Central Texas College and Texas A&M University – Central Texas signed a memorandum of agreement Friday Morning.
Central Texas College Chancellor Jim Anderson and Texas A&M University – Central Texas President Marc Nigliazzo made the memorandum of agreement official as cameras flashed during a ceremony at Central Texas College’s Mayborn Planetarium.
The agreement is aimed in large part of creating numerous programs and initiatives that will make advancement between the two schools more streamlined.
“The educational needs of the students in our common service region continue to increase,” Nigliazzo said in a statement about the memorandum of agreement. “This agreement is a great step toward being responsive to those needs. We are very pleased to expand our partnership between these two schools – a partnership in which our students and the community will mutually benefit.”
Texas A&M University – Central Texas officials on Friday announced the planned signing of a similar agreement with Temple College, outlining several areas of future cooperation. the agreement will be signed by officials during a Temple College board meeting at 6 p.m. Monday in the boardroom of the Temple College Pavilion 2600 S. First Street, in Temple.
